Arthur Manuel Cunha was arrested in 6/86 after police investigation of report by a restaurant waitress of suspicious behavior involving a man and boy. The boy was age 11 and Cunha was in his first assignment after ordination. Cunha was sentenced to 60 days jail and 4 months of time in a counseling center for abuse of two boys. At least three civil suits have been filed claiming abuse of boys in 1986. One of which was settled for $640K. He may have left priesthood.
