Arthur (Arturo) A. Ribeiro
Rev. Arthur A. Ribeiro
Arthur A. Ribeiro, also known as Arturo, was placed on sick leave in 1982 and then removed from ministry/retired on 1/1/92. He was confronted in 1996 by two priests about his sexual misconduct. As of January 2003, three men had filed suit alleging Ribeiro sexually abused them in 1960s at All Saints in Concord. Per a July 2004 article, there were four plaintiffs in two lawsuits. One plaintiff said he told his pastor during confession within two weeks of the abuse and that Ribeiro was then transferred and promoted. Arthur died on 10/18/00 and was added to the diocese’s list on 2/17/19.
If you or someone you love was sexually abused by a priest or someone else associated with the Catholic Church, please contact Paul and his team to learn about the new law and to ensure your rights are protected.
