Father Fergus Lawless, O.F.M.

From Ireland, Fergus Lawless arrived in CA in 1934, and was assigned to a parish in Burlingame in the SF archdiocese. Later, he worked in Los Angeles, CA and Hermiston, OR, returning to Our Lady of the Angels in Burlingame, CA in 1961 as pastor, where he remained until his death on 6/18/91. While he was active, he was named Capuchin Custos Provincial in 1962.

Lawless was accused in 2004 or 2005 of abusing a minor 1952-53. He was named in a civil suit.
