This federally financed center provides excellent research information on the warning signs of child abuse and a host of other critical information resources for victims, families and professionals.

The Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect
A pre-eminent Los Angeles based child abuse advocacy and information agency. The mission of ICAN is to improve the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children through multidisciplinary efforts that support the identification, prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. ICAN provides advocacy and leadership within Los Angeles County, as well as on a state and national basis, for improved policy development, provision of services, public awareness, education and training. The NEXUS conference ICAN sponsors each fall is one of the leading child abuse training conferences in the nation.
